Day 2 of Fabled Gatherings was another great adventure. We drove through the Blue Ridge Parkway up to Craggy Pinnacle for their Asheville engagement session, which was the first time I’ve ever truly been on the top of a mountain, with a 360 degree view of all the trees below. The clouds were coming to join us up on the pinnacle, which was great for photographs and the wind was very relaxing. At one point, the couple was dancing on a ledge while the wind was enough to feel it, but not strong enough to feel threatened. The clouds were gently warning us to savor the moment because it wouldn’t last forever. The moment of being so connected with someone, with your hand ever so gently on his neck and his arms resting around your waist, holding you close. The moment when your foreheads are touching, eyes are closed. You feel their breath and the wind and the warmth all around you.
Consider going up to Craggy Pinnacle for your Asheville engagement session! It is absolutely beautiful up there when the weather’s nice. It’s only about a mile from the parking lot and there’s plenty of places to take photos along the way too. It was smart to wear a jumpsuit to make hiking in her engagement session outfit easier! I really appreciate Jameykay and Arlie showing us around their hometown! Jameykay has grown up here her whole life so she knows all of the best places for those stunning Blue Ridge Parkway views. Although the best time of year for your Asheville engagement session is not during the winter because the parkway usually closes due to snow. Unless you don’t mind parking and hiking in the snowy weather!
