If you’re looking to have a California destination wedding, you should definitely consider Joshua Tree for your wedding portraits! Joshua Tree National Park is a great place for your elopement! If you’re a rock climber, you can climb throughout the park and dance among the unique Joshua trees! As long as you don’t damage the trees of course. There are some really amazing Airbnb’s nearby if you want somewhere to get ready and still stay close to the park. You could have your wedding ceremony in Joshua Tree, then head into nearby Palm Springs for your wedding reception, and then head back out to the desert for some rest and recovery! I can’t wait to return to California for more Joshua Tree wedding portraits. Our bride went with a lightweight and flowy Elizabeth Dye dress to make twirling her way through the desert that much more fun! I’d recommend any time of year as long it’s not the middle of summer as it will be extremely hot. We were there in January and while it got chilly at night, it was the perfect temperature during the day. Even nighttime was pleasant for sitting in the hot tub and it even snowed right before we left! Snow in the desert is a special sight to behold. Reach out today if you’re planning a California wedding!
